Betting tips September 11: Football, World Cup Qualifiers, Europe

The first matchday of the European World Cup Qualifiers has been rather tough on gamblers, who’ve had to deal with a lot of surprising results, very many goals scored and a bunch of teams who’ve severely underperformed.

The second matchday, scheduled for today, September 11, might be just as unlucky and unpredictable, but we’re going to risk a few tips, based mostly on what we saw last Friday. Most of you will be probably looking to place a few bets on your mobile today, considering it’s a Tuesday, so why not listen to what we have to say, go over to Unibet mobile and put some money behind our tips?

  • Israel – Russia

Israel has been the main character in one of the surprises from last Friday, being unable to beat Azerbaijan away. Meanwhile, Russia has had a very strong start to this qualifying campaign, defeating Northern Ireland with a consistent 2-0.

The Israelis will surely approach this match differently, as it is going to be played on their home pitch, but we’re simply seeing Russia as a too strong team to not win this game, too.

Our tip: Russia wins (1.90 odds)

  • Bulgaria – Armenia

Both Bulgaria and Armenia looked surprisingly tough last Friday, with the former drawing Italy at home and the latter defeating Malta away. However, you can’t compare a draw against the runners-up of the European Championship with a win against Armenia, so we’re going to go with Bulgaria for this game.

Our tip: Bulgaria wins (1.70 odds)

  • Serbia – Wales

Although we trusted Wales to be able to keep up with Belgium last week, the Brits disappointed and lost by a mile. Meanwhile, the Serbs played against a very similar team to the Wales, Scotland, managing to draw 0-0 away. That might however not be the perfect start for a team with players like Zoran Tosic, Branislav Ivanovic or Aleksandar Kolarov, so Wales really has something to fear today.

Our tip: Serbia wins (1.45)

  • Scotland – FYR Macedonia

We only had a handful of games with few goals last week, but we simply can’t see Scotland and Macedonia scoring more than two goals together. Both teams started off with no goals last week and neither of the two has what you would call a striking force. Scotland did score twice in each of three matches of the Euro 2012 Qualification, but Macedonia only scored 8 times in 10 games total.

Our tip: under 2.5 goals (1.60)

Good luck and don’t forget to take it easy with the betting stakes! These are high-risk football matches, so caution is advised.
