Football (or soccer, for those of you reading us from the States) is the king of sports all across Europe (and outside), so it’s only natural to be one of the most usual choices for betting enthusiasts. The same goes for those of you who use mobile betting a lot, and even for those of you who wager on live events from a cellphone or tablet.
We’ve compiled a short list of Dos and Don’ts for live football betting on mobile devices, which goes a little something like this:
- Be bold and courageous
We obviously won’t advise you to take unnecessary risks when live betting on football from your mobile, but if you don’t get out of your comfort zone from time to time, you’ll only get bored and see betting as a routine. And that can only make you lose money!
- Concentrate on only a few leagues and competitions
It’s pretty difficult to follow a lot of action from one’s mobile phone or tablet, so the best thing to do is keep it clean and neat. You’re passionate about Premier League and Bundesliga football? Wager only on those two leagues and you’ll end up being somewhat of an expert sooner or later!
- Keep your stakes low
As much knowledge as you might have about a match or football competition, the risk and unpredictability factors are sky-high when dealing with live bets. Therefore, if you want to not go mad overnight, you should not risk a high sum of money on “who scores next”.
- Be a smarty-pants
Nobody likes a show-off, so when that work colleague dares you to wager on the latest live match in the Lithuanian second division, be mature and don’t try to get out of your comfort zone too much.
- Bet uninformed
This is actually pretty much the same as the tip above, but it’s so important that we need to stress it and you need to understand it. Pure luck doesn’t last forever, so stop making wagers on matches, teams and/or events you know absolutely nothing about!
- Wager when you don’t have a grip on technology
Is your network connection unstable? Is your battery’s phone dying? Then stop everything you’re doing, starting with your live football bets. There’s nothing more risky than placing a wager on a hurry or under pressure, especially when dealing with something as time-sensitive as the Uefa Champions League final between Barcelona and Real Madrid, for example.
