Everyone’s excited to see who will go through to the quarter finals in the greatest European competition, so I made some picks for the upcoming matches using Unibet’s accumulator.
Borussia Dortmund vs. Shakhtar Donetsk – pick X with 4.25 odds (1st leg 2-2)
Both teams have shown great valor in the 1st leg at Donetsk where Mircea Lucescu’s team was praised for their lucidity and proper strategy against Klopp’s young and powerful squad which launched numerous attacks, almost mindlessly towards Pyatov’s goal. I expect many goals giving their play style and I can’t see any of the teams backing down if the score is not in their favour.
Manchester United vs. Real Madrid – pick Real Madrid with 2.20 odds (1st leg 1-1)
They’ve been called football giants and that certainly isn’t an understatement, however Mourinho’s squad has more technical players with great real-time decision-making and after the two recent wins against Barcelona their chances are even higher.
Juventus vs. Celtic – pick Juventus with 1.32 odds (1st leg 3-0)
Celtic has a terrible mission against The Old Lady on Juventus Stadium, which is almost an impossible one. It’s almost a David and Goliath battle, Celtic being David of course, but this time The Bhoys are joining the fight already crushed. Juventus is showing great strenght at the top of Serie A, and they should bag this without a problem.
Paris Saint-Germain vs Valencia – pick Valencia with 4.00 odds (1st leg 2-1)
With a bit of luck Valencia can and will try to turn the 1st leg result around, hopefully with Valdez in the starting line-up, which completely changed the match when he was introduced last time. Things should be much easier now with Ibrahimovic under suspension and I expect the match to be entirely dominated by the Spanish side, rushing to score every time they earn possession of the ball.
